How excited you were, yet how nervous. Wondering what was going to happen. Starting a business feels a lot like that.

But here's the thing. When you went to school, you didn't just sit at your desk and know how to do your maths, your logarithms, your English or your Science. There was a teacher up the front, teaching you and guiding you.

Someone with an agenda, so you knew exactly what you'd learn that day and that week.

And you didn't learn it all in a rush. You learnt in bite-sized chunks. You embedded those chunks in your mind, then you practised them. Then came the test to see what you'd really learnt.

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝, 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝.

And when you did, you went back, relearnt it and resat the test.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:

𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲! The world didn't stop. You went back, learnt it again and carried on.

Business is exactly the same.

You will make mistakes.
Everyone does.
The ones who grow aren't the ones who never get it wrong.
They're the ones who learn from what went wrong, adjust and go again.
